Who is Richard Heart?

So, who is Richard Heart?

Richard Heart was one of the earliest Bitcoin adopters and proponents. A well-regarded and highly intelligent “Bitcoin maximalist,” he aligned himself with the libertarian political philosophy that undergirds Bitcoin and worked alongside some of the earliest cypherpunks who combined their political and economic philosophies with bleeding edge computer programming for the purpose of freeing humanity from financial enslavement.

It’s unknown how many Bitcoin Richard Heart owns, but many have speculated that it’s well over 100,000. He claims to have never sold a single Bitcoin, but it’s unknown.

Richard Heart shifted his views on Bitcoin after watching the progress Vitalik Buterin was making on Ethereum. Sometime around 2018, Heart acknowledged that Ethereum had surpassed Bitcoin as the superior cryptocurrency, and that he would be building HEX on top of Ethereum.

During the two year buildup to his launch of HEX, Richard used his YouTube channel as platform for providing highly intelligent market analysis, Bitcoin criticism, and prophetic warnings about the newly created Ponzi schemes Celsius and BlockFi, as well as trenchant criticism and predictions about the fall of Sam Bankman Fried (FTX) and the fraudulent behavior behind centralized cryptocurrency exchanges. Heart pounded his fist onstream every week with his warnings, and most notably called the Bitcoin top in 2021 and prophetically predicted the demise of Luna as a highly flawed stable coin.

All of this impeccable analysis was provided for free. No commercials, no sponsors, no paid groups, no merch, no financial gain or exploitation of any kind. Heart’s dire warnings and predictions all came true in 2021-22, resulting in the Twitter viral hashtag #RichardHeartWasRight.

Heart continues to distance himself from Bitcoin especially since his successful launch of HEX in 2019, which accomplished a 10,000x reaching .55 on most charts at its peak in September 2021.
